THE DAY OF YOUR SESSION
Our aim is to take the most beautiful photos and give you the most enjoyable experience on your special day.
Before we start the session we'll have a chat about what combinations you would like us to do, have a look at some of the different outfits you may like to try and bounce a few ideas around.
Studio sessions usually last between 30-90 minutes. Allow 2 hours for a new born session. During that time your photographer will capture the
most candid moments in a variety of poses and lighting combinations.
Your session will only finish once we have captured
the most beautiful photos, that's our promise to you every time.
NEW BORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHY
Image Technique are specialist baby photographers.
To capture the new born look you should book your session when your baby is 1-4 weeks old. Our style of baby photography is simple & classic.
Many of our beautiful baby photographs are created with the parents holding their little one. If you are not comfortable with skin on skin bring some plain black clothing with no buttons or zips on the upper body garments.
Allow 2 hours for your new born session as it is likely your baby will have at least one feed and a sleep during the session.
CHOOSING YOUR PHOTOS
Images are available to choose on the day of the session but we're happy to make another appointment if you would rather come back another time.
Please allow at least an hour of your time to view and order prints from a
family shoot.
You'll have the assistance of your photographer, not a salesperson, displaying your images on the finest quality viewing monitors.
Our special viewing software makes choosing your photos simple and enjoyable.
First we'll show you all of the images and when you've selected your favourites we can display them as colour or black and white, experiment
with creative cropping ideas, or simulate the images as a series to be framed.
Your photographer can also offer expert advice on choosing different finishes such as canvas or acrylic mounting to compliment your home.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
BABIES & kIDS
Simple works best. Avoid clothes that are too busy and have large logos or brand names on them, particularly for group photos. Disposable nappies don't look great in photos so consider a fitted cloth nappy for your little one. If you have a new born, some plain white linen wraps always look good.

ADULTS
Patterns can be distracting in group photos. It's safer to keep it classic and simple. Pay attention to neckline if you are looking for close cropped compositions.
Choose colours that compliment each other for groups. Bring a few options to the studio, we have a spacious change area and bathroom facilities. With our help, styling can be fun!
